Logitech Performance MX Mouse – Registration Flaws
Logitech still hasn’t realized I don’t want this to appear every time I start my computer. I don’t want to register, I just want to use my new $100 mouse. Where is the Don’t Ask Me This Again option? I guess even when you buy Logitech’s top of the line products, it doesn’t matter–they just haven’t figured it out yet. I don’t want bloat.

WTF - How do I not register ever?--this is day one stuff and super annoying, pops up every time i start...
Amazon is actually selling this mouse for really cheap now-days. Under $70.

March 10th, 2012 at 6:04 pmI’ve now found some good information online about eReg.exe and how to not have it running on startup:
This comes up as a popup screen when you boot your computer for the first time after installing Logitec SetPoint. It gives you the ability to register your mouse and keyboard for warranty and support features. If you have already registered your product as you should, disable this program as it is no longer required and will cause longer startup times if left in. Normally it removes it’s self after registration, but it can get left behind some times.

March 10th, 2012 at 6:09 pmSure, enough–I knew this would happen–I gave in and registered and now I already have an email from Logitech, even though I specifically said I DO NOT WANT to receive any emails.
I am registered, at least, and that f’ing popup is gone.
